Brookfield Board of Finance Chairman Bill Tinsley praised the Board of Education and its administrators for presenting a proposed budget with “good detail” but said that reductions may have to be made due “to the state of the economy and affordability.
“The devil is not in the details of this budget,” he said after the two boards spent nearly three hours Tuesday night discussing education spending for the next fiscal year.
“This is going to come down to the big picture,” Mr. Tinsley said, making an apparent reference to the severe economic recession that reportedly began more than two years ago.Read Story
